Smoothie Talk With Malaja D

Remember a couple of months ago when I said I was going on a health kick and changing my eating habits. Well, I stayed true to my word by incorporating smoothies into my diet.

Including smoothies into your diet is increasing fruit & veggie intake while also increasing certain supplements like Flax Seeds for Iron, Almonds for protein, Oats for fiber & Much More.

Here are a few smoothies that I have worked up that you might want to take a stab at. :

Banana & Strawberry :

  • 1 frozen whole banana
  • 4 frozen strawberries Split
  • 2 teaspoons flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup vanilla low-fat yogurt
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup vanilla almond granola

Banana & Peanut Butter :

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tablespoon of peanut butter or a handful of peanuts
  • 2 teaspoon of flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup of almond milk
  • 1/4 raw steel cut oats

Strawberry & Vanilla :

  • 6 frozen strawberries chopped up
  • 3 tablespoons of vanilla low-fat yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons of flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup of vanilla & almond granola
  • 1/2 of 2% organic milk

Green Monster Machine  :

  • 2 Handfuls of Kale & Spinach  (Blanched)
  • 1 Green Apple
  • 1/4 Cup Apple Juice
  • 2 teaspoons of Flax Seeds
  • 2 Capfuls of ACV
  • Splash of Orange Juice After Well Blended
